Review:
This book was good. Like really good. The whole idea of the story is just amazing. You don’t see too many books about gargoyles but this one is awesome. The world behind the mirror, the curse of the Goyl, the quest to save someone you love from becoming one of those cold, unloving creatures all drew me in and wouldn’t let me put the book down. This book is definitely action-packed. One thing after another is thrown at them and they struggle to overcome all of the problems they encounter.
The characters were pretty good. This is the only thing that I think could be improved about this book. Sometimes I just felt like the reader’s connection to the characters wasn’t quite strong enough. However, I loved how Jacob was willing to do anything to save his brother, even when it seemed to him and others like he couldn’t.
Overall, it was an awesome book. I really hope there’s a sequel and that it comes out soon. It seemed to me like there were a lot of loose ends so there must be a sequel, hopefully. I give it 8/10.
